Great Crested Newt - Photo's update





The Great Crested Newt is the second specie of the Newt's that exist in Sweden. The other one is Smooth Newt. The Smooth Newt is smaller and alot smoother as the name indicate. The are both protected by law in Sweden. The Great Crested Newt is rarer in Sweden then the smaller specie.




Gread Crested Newt, Olympus E-30, 300mm, 1/60sec. f/5,6. ISO500. Manuel mode, manuel focus, raw converted, croped and 2x crop in camera (600mm). Firmly on the ground.

This individual were proborly migrating to it's winter location. Some rotten logg somewere proborly. Saw it during this cool evening, perfect time for it to move.
